At the beginning of November, we had to take Weston to Seattle Children's for surgery. Weston had to have an Orchiopexy surgery and hernia repair. We had to give him a special bath the night before and then he had to fast for 8 hours before the surgery. We were scheduled for a 10am surgery, but the Operating Room was running behind so we didn't get in until 11:45. So as you can imagine, Weston was pretty ticked off while we waited. He was hungry and I couldn't do anything to help him. Paul and I took turns rocking him, and when that wasn't working I took him out and we walked the halls and we just kept walking and walking until he finally fell asleep. The waiting part was awful! By the time he woke up from surgery he was starving and scarfed down a few bottles of sugar water. Then we drove home- and after that he did fine. He never really acted like he was in pain from the surgery, and he wanted to continue with his normal activities right away, which made it hard for Paul and I because we werent supposed to let him crawl or do anything for 48 hours after the surgery.

We drove up to Vancouver BC with my parents and Parker for Thanksgiving- On our way to Canada we stopped in Blaine, WA and ate a delicious Thanskgiving buffet at the Semiahmoo Resort. I had never been there before, but that resort is gorgeous! It's located right on the ocean and the view was amazing. Then we continued northward, through border crossing, and up to the Sandman Signature hotel.... complete with a 225 ft waterslide, which was pretty awesome, especially for Leatham.
The kids love hanging out with Grandma B
