In my abundant spare time...... :)

I always like to have a project or two in the mix.....they help me keep my sanity :)  Here are a few that I did this month

Spring and Easter Blocks! Super fun, easy and cheap!  I bought some 2x4's at Lowes and had them cut them for me.  Then I painted the blocks, modge podged paper to them and then applied some vinyl letters and put a layer of modge podge to seal them.  They are reversible (Spring on one side, Easter on the other)

Bulliten Board for Leatham-  I had an old bulliten board that I had made using a peice of partical board, two layers of batting, and covering with fabric.  Anyway, I took off the old fabric and used some extra brown I had.  Leatham loves having the pictures on his wall.  He gets so excited and tells me who everyone is.

Menu Planner-  I got this idea here.  I love the color it adds to my fridge and I also love that I can move menus around based on sales/or how I am feeling that night- without scratching them off a calendar-  Rachelle cut the white vinyl grid for me, and I used Photoshop and digital scrapbook papers to make the menu cards.  Then I printed them at Costco, cut and laminated them and stuck magnets to the back sides.  The menu is for 3 weeks and then I have a bunch of extra meals at the bottom and a few blank ones that I can write on with a dry erase marker when I want to add a new recipe to the mix.

Safeway is having a sale on the large containers of strawberries, so I made 4 batches of Strawberry jam.  It's a staple in our house!
Quilt-  When my grandma Ila passed away 4 years ago she left behind a ton of quilt tops that she had made.  I got to pick one out for myself and I finally bought and sewed together a backing for it.  I just took it Jenny to have it professionally quilted for me so I dont have a picture, but I am excited to see it when it's done!

Hmm, I was going to say that I was going to copy your menu idea too...but that's been taken. So I guess I should say that since the three comments from ward girls ALL want your menu, I think you're right--we should do it at Super Saturday.

CAn't wait to see the quilt!
And the jam looks yum-my!
I hope to
